Vicar, St Laurence, Long Eaton and Priest-in-Charge, Holy Trinity, Ilkeston

Vicar of Long Eaton St Laurence and

Priest-in-Charge of Ilkeston Holy Trinity

We are two Resolution parishes under oversight of the Bishop of Ebbsfleet and affiliated to the Society above.

We eagerly await a new pastor who

  • Will be committed to the centrality of prayer, the sacraments, scripture and service to the community
  • Will nurture, encourage, motivate and challenge us in the areas of mission, growth and outreach
  • Will be at ease across the whole church family

We are two parishes in the catholic tradition who

  • Strive for excellence in worship and depth in prayer
  • Want to be better at outreach and mission
  • Want help in developing and growing our vision

The Bishop of Ebbsfleet writes:

The two parish communities involved in this appointment, together with their clergy, eagerly await their new pastor.  The priest we are looking for is a priest who understands their ministry as an apostolic ministry to 'build churches' - to build up the people of God in faith and prayer, to draw them together for the work of mission and service in the local community and to be communities of hope further afield.  He will be committed to the centrality of prayer, the sacraments, the scriptures and practical service of the needy as the key aspects of the Church's life

We need a person who is an effective team player and communicator and to express an attitude of mutual flourishing; and we want a person at ease across the church family.

We hope that you will want to apply, in the hope that God may be calling you to serve here.
